A dental practice in the Jordaan
A good dentist is not only good with teeth, but also with people. That’s why our practice is a calm, welcoming place where we take our time for you. We’re here for everyone: people who live, work or study in Amsterdam, children and adults, and patients from all over the world. Our whole team speaks fluent English, and we’re happy to send all correspondence in English.
We’re open until 22:00 from Monday to Wednesday, and on Sundays too, so you can book an appointment at a time that suits you.
A large team of specialists
More than 40 people work at Tandarts Jordaan: dentists, dental hygienists, prevention and dental assistants, dental technicians and our front desk team. All counted, we have 1280 teeth, and you’ll see them, because we smile a lot.
Alongside general dentistry, we have in-house specialists in periodontology, implantology, endodontics (root canal treatment) and orthodontics. One of our dentists holds a PhD in oral and maxillofacial surgery. This means that for most treatments, you can stay with us without being referred elsewhere.
How we work
We always explain what we’re going to do and why. Before a larger treatment, you’ll receive a treatment plan with a clear cost estimate. Dental rates in the Netherlands are set nationally by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa), so you pay the same as at any other dentist. New to the Dutch system? We work with modern equipment and techniques to make your treatment as comfortable as possible. Feeling nervous about the dentist? Just let us know, and we’ll take the time you need.
Quality
All our dentists are registered with the Dutch Quality Register for Dentists (KRT). Our dental hygienists are members of the Dutch Association of Dental Hygienists and registered with the Quality Register for Dental Hygienists (KRM). Our whole team regularly takes further training to stay up to date with the latest techniques and insights.

Everyone is welcome at Tandarts Jordaan. There is no waiting list, so you can sign up in as little time as it takes to brush your teeth. And that appointment? We can plan that in straight away. At a time that fits your work schedule or daily rhythm.
